Dr. Benterah C. Morton
Board Treasurer

Dr. Morton has worked in PK-12 and higher education since 2001. Since that time, he has served in roles across the educational spectrum including Science teacher and school leader (Principal) in PK-12 and most recently Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of South Alabama in higher education. Currently, Dr. Morton is President of Perspectives Education and Leadership Consulting.
Dr. Dyan Ryans
Board Secretary

Dr. Dyann Ryans is a distinguished music educator and military musician with teaching
experience ranging from kindergarten to college. At Stillman College, she founded the first marching band program. As a U.S. Marine Corps musician, she played clarinet and saxophone and later became the first African American woman to command a military band, leading the 116th Army Band in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Ryans is currently retired.

Danielle Dials
Board President

Danielle Dials has worked in the television news industry for over 20 years. She currently serves as a Media Executive for Gray Media Group and FOX10 News, and co-host on the “What’s Up Saraland!” podcast.
Dani’s home church is Redemption Church in Saraland, AL where she serves as a women's growth group leader. She also serves as President-Elect on the Saraland Area Chamber of Commerce board.
Dani’s TV job experience includes TV production, directing newscasts, branding, on-air hosting, producing newscasts, advertising & marketing.
Gloria Hill
Board Vice President

Mrs. Hill obtained her Bachelor’s Degree and Teacher’s Certification in Business Education and Marketing Management from Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA. She currently serves as Board Secretary with Floretta P. Carson Visual and Performing Arts Academy. She also serves as a board member with Gulf Regional Child Care Services. During her 30 plus years of service in education and public service, her career as a Strategic Family Intervention Specialist, allowed her to offer her expertise with assisting students in education and other relative public administrative work. During city and county elections in her state, Ms. Hill serves as the precinct’s Inspector with the state’s Probate Courts, assisting students and citizens with exercising their civic duties. Her commitment and devotion to education and public service is what makes her work in outreach with FPC VPAA a valuable asset to the board. Her ultimate goal is to help her students gain opportunities specifically in the field of arts, and become proud citizens in their cities and communities.
