CEP Eligibility
What is CEP?
The Community Eligibility Program states that all enrolled students of Floretta P. Carson Visual & Performing Arts Academy are eligible to receive a healthy, reimbursable breakfast and lunch at school at no charge. No further action is required of you. Your students will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application.
If a la carte items are selected, each student will be required to pay for the additional items at the food prices approved by our district’s board of education.
2025-26 CEP Notice to Parents and Guardians
For the school year 2025-2026, the Child Nutrition Program (CNP) of Floretta P. Carson Visual & Performing Arts Academy (FPCVPAA) will continue to provide breakfast and lunch meals to all students at no charge through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). In order to receive USDA Reimbursement, FPCVPAA must follow the guidelines that require all meals must be accountable. All students will be issued an Identification badge that will be scanned at the Point of Sale; this will identify the students and the meals served. Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program does not require student meal applications; therefore, all students will receive breakfast and lunch meals at no charge. FPCVPAA will receive reimbursement for a complete reimbursable meal per student. If a student selects a partial meal, he/she will be required to pay for those items separately. Al A Carte items may be purchased at the food prices approved by FPCVPAA.

The school’s wellness committee will be meeting on the following dates to review the school’s wellness policy and identify strategies to improve student wellness. All meetings will take place at 8:30 am in the school cafeteria.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online here:
