Floretta P. Carson Visual and Performing Arts Academy is proud to be recognized as an A+ College Ready School of Excellence. The A+ College Ready curriculum is designed to develop a diverse pipeline of students prepared for success in college, careers, and life.

Through high-quality, content-specific rigorous courses, the A+ curriculum is fully aligned with the Alabama Course of Study and College Board Advanced Placement (AP) requirements, providing our scholars with a strong foundation in academic excellence.

The program offers 58 courses across math, science, English, social studies, computer science, art, and Spanish, including 35 non-AP and 23 AP courses, providing students with opportunities to challenge themselves and excel in higher education and beyond.
